10 Things We're Reading / Listening to Right Now

Many people ask us what we like to read, where do we get our creative inspiration, how do we enjoy our down time.  Here's a list of some of our favorite reads & podcasts for you to enjoy.

ARTICLES & BOOKS:

Bird By Bird by Anne Lamott

Funny? Check. Old-timey? Check. Classic lessons that never change? Check check check.  Anne Lamott gives guidance on how to write / life better; it's one of those Really Old Books Full Of Wisdom But Still "Gets It" kinda books, ya know what I'm sayin'?

The Life Changing Art of Not Giving a F***  by Sarah Knight

Need a laugh?  This is a hilarious and short read for anyone that may feel they're often spreading themselves too thin or saying "yes" too often.

Daring Greatly by Brené Brown

It's time we start embracing our imperfections and vulnerability.  The Queen of vulnerability has done it again with this witty but practical read.

The Sleep Revolution by Arianna Huffington

Sleep your way to the top. Best advice ever.

No more yes. It's either HELL YEAH! or no. article by David Sivers

"We're all busy. We've all taken on too much. Saying yes to less is the way out.".  Read. It.

No, You Can't Have It All article by Mark Manson

We geek out over Mark.  This article in particular is about our new, overly-connected culture and how to better manage our FOMO.

Five Minute Journal

They say the key to happiness is gratitude.  We believe it.  The more you can actually write down and see the small things that happen in dat day-to-day-hustle-life, the more we appreciate everything around us.  It's a good way to start journaling and "only" takes 5 minutes (easy to say, hard to do).

***Note: We gravitate towards physical over digital books. Having the tangible book can serve as A) a physical reminder of anything we might have learned, B) a productive reason for less screen time and C) guilt that you didn't finish it yet.  JK on the last point.

PODCASTS:
