THE FLU SHOT: DAY 19 RECIPE
Flu season is upon us and as the cold keeps getting colder, it's difficult not to get sick! Arm yourself with this Turmeric-based recipe that was inspired by our friend and JRINK team member, Shaunn Myers.
What is Turmeric?
Turmeric is a root, much like the ginger, that can be ground into a powder and used as a spice. Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant and a potent anti-inflammatory.
Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
Handful of kale
1/2 lemon, peeled
1 inch wide round slice of ginger root
Directions
Juice the kale, ginger root, and lemon. Add turmeric powder and mix together.
Makes approximately 4oz.
