TO LIVE YOUNG: DAY 3 RECIPE

"From 1997 to 2011, the number of people aged 35 years or older with diabetes and with self-reported heart disease or stroke increased from 4.2 million to 7.6 million."  That's almost double, folks.  

Our sedentary jobs coupled with all the processed foods we eat aren't necessarily the "ingredients" for a healthier lifestyle.  

Kale has always been all the rage but we forget about broccoli.  3 glucosinolate phytonutrients are found in a special combination in broccoli, which support all steps in the body's detox process, including activation, neutralization, and elimination of unwanted contaminants.

So, here it is!  The Day 3 of 25 good for detox and Living Young.

Ingredients:

1 cup coarsely chopped kale

1/2 cup broccoli florets

2 carrots

1 red delicious apple

Directions:

Juice it up, whisk (stir it all together well as we are incorporated kale + broccoli) and enjoy!
