Well, it seems the weekday blues are upon us again...we’re not sure how that happened.  These morning’s can be the ultimate groggy hour, as our bodies reboot from relaxation and return to their weekday schedule after a few days of (hopefully) decompressing.

Like most people, we’re not totally human until after our first cup of coffee. But it’s not just the caffeine, it’s the whole sensory experience: the earthy smell of roasted coffee beans, the unmistakable taste, and, yes, the jolt of energy-particularly when we’re feeling sluggish after the weekend.

Beyond being a universal morning (and all-day) beverage that has been around for centuries, coffee is now being hailed as an ingredient with all sorts of health benefits.

Studies say that consuming a moderate amount of coffee can decrease your risk of cardiovascular disease, liver and breast cancer, and other diseases. Mitigating the factors of neurological disorders like Parkinson’s and cognitive decline may be associated with the consumption of coffee too.

When we’re jonesing for a wake up call, we turn to BUZZ ME UP—our raw answer to your cup of morning Joe.

WHAT'S IN IT?

1. Our own Raw Cold Brew Coffee using Vigilante Beans.

To be clear, iced or cold-brew coffee is not simply hot coffee poured over ice — at least it shouldn't be. Doing that not only dilutes the coffee, but can make it bitter, as well.  Our JRINKs use cold brew, which sounds like a fancy barista term, but couldn't be easier.  We simply let the beans soak in filtered water for hours and let it slowly drip -- this reduces the acidity of coffee, which in turn enhances its sweetness and other complex flavor notes.

    2.  Agave for some subtle sweetness

    3. Ground organic raw brazil nuts provide oomph and protein

    4. Fresh mint keeps things light and zippy

Perfect for JRINKing in the morning and before a workout, BUZZ ME UP promotes cardiovascular health, strengthens bones, and will help accelerate muscle repair. It’ll keep you satisfied and energetic when you most need it—which, let’s be honest, is right now.
